  1. 1.Tune the NAV radio to 117.40 MHz for LIV.
  2. 2.Press IDENT and confirm the Morse code L·I·V (·–·· ·· ···–).
  3. 3.Test the CDI: rotate OBS 10° left and 10° right — the needle should swing.
  4. 4.Rotate OBS until the CDI needle is centered and the flag reads TO. That's your inbound course.
  5. 5.Set the heading bug to match your inbound course.
  6. 6.Follow the heading bug — the aircraft will turn onto it.
  7. 7.Keep the CDI needle in the middle until you cross the station.
