3.ATC assigned the 145° radial outbound. Set OBS to 145°.For an outbound track the OBS matches the radial itself — you're flying away from the station along that bearing FROM. The flag will read FROM once you're established.
4.Turn to heading 145° (outbound). The flag should read FROM.Your heading equals the assigned radial because that IS the ground track you want. Flying any other heading will push the CDI off centre until wind correction is applied.
5.Keep the CDI centered — small heading corrections only.
6.Continue outbound until 15 DME (currently 2.6 nm).
